The National Pug Protection Trust

Rescued is my favourite breed

About us

UK Pug Dog Charity

Helping pugs in need.

The National Pug Protection Trust has been set up to rescue abandoned pugs from neglect and abuse.

We provide experienced foster homes until permanent rehoming can take place.

Our mission is to actively promote kindness, compassion and improve the welfare of pugs across the UK.

The NPPT have decided to end their formal partnership with Cuppapug as of 19th January 2024. Whilst we were happy to work with them in promoting education on the welfare and care of the pug breed, we felt that their ongoing “Puppy Days” which started in June 2023 were inconsistent with the NPPT’s charitable objects, our commitment to animal welfare , the prevention of exploitation of vulnerable animals and our focus on the rehoming of rescued dogs.
We will continue to work with Cuppapug to raise funds for specific rescue dogs.
